Engaging with Health and Safety Representatives

Under the direction of the new Health & Safety Representative Group, Chair Callum Thwaites (Project Manager for Arrow International) and the group have dropped the word ‘leadership’ from their title to better reflect the group’s commitment to worker engagement and support for Health & Safety representatives.

Callum and the team have been responding to recent H&S rep feedback, working through your ideas on how the HSR team and the Charter can support you in your Health & Safety role.

The team held two ‘focus group’ coffee mornings this month in a relaxed environment to share ideas, knowledge and support for one another.

The HSR team are working with WorkSafe New Zealand on the final stages of several worker engagement video case studies which will available via the Charter website as an educational tool to assist H&S reps and staff training. The case study videos will be communicated through this newsletter when they are available.
