The Canterbury Safety Charter’s workshop on Effective Communication scheduled for Friday, 20 March has been cancelled due to the ongoing situation regarding the covid 19 virus. As a Health and Safety organisation, it is imperative that we take the lead on matters of wellbeing in the community, and it is through this lens that the H&S Representative’s committee has come to this decision. Although the risk of any attendees either having the virus or becoming infected is very low, the potential consequence of contributing to a community outbreak is extremely serious. We hope to be able to offer this workshop sometime in the future, and we are looking at alternative options ( video podcasts) of some of the material to the Charter website. Thank you for your commitment to Health and Safety, and we will update you as the situation changes.
