Site visit to new member Hubbers

A warm welcome to the Canterbury Safety Charter Hubbers Floorings and Furnishings! General Manager, Catherine Thomson Bush invited Libi Carr and Jo Duffy to meet their Health and Safety Committee.

It was great to see that Hubbers have a Health and Safety Committee with representation from across the business – including showroom, sewing workshop and the warehouse.

Hubbers take a great deal of pride in working to ensure their entire space is safe for customers, clients, contractors and their team. The reps from each area recognise they share common health and safety issues, but also face specific health and safety requirements and issues in their own area – due to the variety of work they do. Coming together as a team to work collaboratively on health and safety improves the job for everyone.
