Injury Prevention Subsidy

Injury Prevention Subsidy

If your business is working in construction and has 6 to 99 employees, you might be eligible for a workplace injury prevention subsidy to help pay for health and safety training.

CHASNZ have partnered with ACC, designing a Workplace Injury Prevention (WIP) subsidy that helps small and medium sized businesses in the residential construction sector meet the cost of health and safety training.

This can include front-line leaders such as site managers, health and safety managers, supervisors, team leaders and foremen. The supervisor training programme is the new benchmark in construction, creating a common language and skill set that will lift our performance as an industry.

To be eligible for this subsidy, your business must be:

  • A small to medium sized business with around 6 to 99 employees;
  • In the following construction sector (including all construction subsectors):
  • residential building construction
  • land development
  • site preparation
  • building structure services
  • building installation services
  • building completion services
  • other construction services

To see if you are eligible, simply login to your My ACC for Business, if you’ve never used this, find out more about it and how to register here About my ACC for Business

For more information, including contribution costs, how to redeem this subsidy and terms and conditions, please visit the ACC website here.

After you complete your training, you can sit your ConstructSafe supervisor assessment by contacting an assessment centre.
