The Safety Charter has a Health and Safety Representatives Working Group (HSR) and are seeking new members to participate and join!

Currently the HSR’s are a small, but dedicated team incorporating representatives from a variety of industries – construction, plumbing, gas, drainage & electrical, home ventilation & heating and Union.  The team meet currently meet monthly for a 1 to 1.5hour meeting.

One of our main focus areas is organising and delivery of the popular HSR Representative workshops, which are held 3 times per year.  Working together as a team, the HSR’s brainstorm workshop ideas and organise the format of each workshop.

Nicki Tasker, HSR Member say “As the HRV Canterbury, Health and Safety Manager, I have really enjoyed being involved with this group and know that the workshops really do inspire and make a difference to HSR’s in all workplaces. I personally have learnt many new skills and have incorporated many of these in my workplace.”

The HSR’s are supported by the Safety Charter staff and together with their help we have created a job description for the working group – which is available upon request.
