Larry Bellamy

Dr Bellamy, is an Ada Rutherford Professor of Architectural Engineering at the University of Canterbury.

He is currently Research Director at the $12.5M Building Innovation Partnership (BIP) Research Program.

Previously, Larry was the Manager of Engineering, Design, and Science at MBIE, where he led the Government’s response to the Canterbury Earthquakes.

His current research interests include digital building technologies, low carbon design, and novel building envelopes.

Faram Farzad

Farzam Farzad, Senior Associate – Beca Digital Engineering Advisory team.

Farzam has more than 16 years of experience working in the construction industry across multiple segments such as Commercial, Industrial, Education, Health, T&I, Water, Defence and Tourism.

Truly passionate about Digital Engineering and Digital Asset Management, Farzam is always eager to identify innovative approaches and utilise practical procedures; to generate high quality outcomes and drive development, collaboration and coordination of Digital Engineering processes which can have positive impacts during life cycle assets.

Farzam is a past winner of the New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB) Innovation and the Supreme Award.

Anna Galvin

Anna Galvin has worked predominantly in the construction, ports, rail, and mining industries over the last 20 years.

She is Vice-Chair of the New Zealand Society for Safety Engineering (NZSSE), a special interest group of Engineering New Zealand.

Anna looks at how work is organised (people and processes), considers the gaps between desired and current performance (including H&S) and figures out what to do about the gaps.  A fundamental part of her work is talking to people about their own work.

Brad Sara

Brad Sara, is a Director at Warren and Mahoney Technologies and Co-Chair of the Canterbury Safety Charter’s Professional Serviced Working Group.

He has 17 years’ experience as Project Lead, Architect and BIM Manager.

For the past three years Brad has lead Warren and Mahoney’s Safety in Design program.

Kevin Hughes

Kevin Hughes is the Director of Digital Engineering at BuildBIM Ltd.

He has over 24 years’ experience within the AEC Industry, with the last 16 years focussed on BIM implementation, methodologies, and technologies.

Kevin has a strong focus on the use of technology for risk mitigation and efficiency.

Ian Mckenzie

Ian McKenzie is Project Director at Dawson McKenzie Consulting and Fellow of the Project Management Institute New Zealand.

He has a strong background in organisational management and in infrastructure, building and community development projects.

Ian is also a member of the Safety Charter Professional Services Working Group and BIMSafe Advisory Group.
