4 September 2014 – H&S legislation ‘lessons from Australia’

More than 150 people attended the quarterly Safety Charter event on 4 September 2014 featuring leading Australian workplace health and safety lawyer Paul Cutrone.

With major changes to health and safety legislation due to be introduced in New Zealand next year, Paul spoke on:

• Australia’s experience with health and safety legislation
• How risk management is included in legislation
• How the construction industry in New Zealand can prepare for the changes ahead.

Another 20 signatories to the Safety Charter were also welcomed as representatives from their organisations officially signed the Charter.
