March 20, 2020 at 6:30 am – 9:00 am
The Canterbury Safety Charter’s workshop on Effective Communication scheduled for Friday, 20 March has been cancelled due to the ongoing situation regarding the Covid-19 virus.
As a Health and Safety organisation, it is imperative that we take the lead on matters of wellbeing in the community, and it is through this lens that the H&S Representative’s committee has come to this decision. Although the risk of any attendees either having the virus or becoming infected is very low, the potential consequence of contributing to a community outbreak is extremely serious. We hope to be able to offer this workshop sometime in the future, and we are looking at alternative options ( video podcasts) of some of the material to the Charter website. Thank you for your commitment to Health and Safety, and we will update you as the situation changes.
Regards – Paul Duggan, General Manager
Effective Communication with an emphasis on developing key skills to facilitate the health and safety conversation with all stake holders. This can apply to toolbox talks, Health and Safety representative training, all the way up to Board room conversations.
A special thanks to Mark Greenstreet, CanStaff who is not only sponsoring the workshop, he will also be speaking on communicating with migrant workers.
