A workshop for Health and Safety Managers + Health and Safety Representatives (HSR’s).

HSR’s are an important link in the health and safety chain.  They are potentially the most underutilised and most powerful health and safety role an organisation can have.

Building effective HSR’s is critical for any organisation wanting to develop a bottom-up health and safety approach and fully engage all stakeholders in the journey.

This workshop will look at

  • The role of the HSR
  • Powers of the HSR
  • Management of HSR’s
  • Developing H&S Leaders

Presenters

Shane Strode-Penny:  Technical Services Specialist Plant and Construction:  Shane has a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained across many years in the sector. He will offer practical and straightforward advice on current issues facing health and safety professionals and managers as they navigate the challenges of the sector.

Sherry Peck: WorkSafe NZ Health & Safety Representative Development Lead: Sherry has just started work in her new role with WorkSafe NZ following a career in the Inspectorate. Her job is to develop HSR’s in the community, and to develop a community of HSR’s to network with and share experiences
